Reflections of the Week!

"A challenge I faced was knowing that my mom had brain cancer. I never really adapted to that situation I just felt angry all the time but I kind of learned to deal with it even though sometimes I felt that if I could do something to prevent it I would. I learned that things happen for a reason. That challenge compares to the stories we read and videos we watched because the people in the holocaust were emotionally and physically hurt."

                                      - Madeline Delacruz, 701

" A challenge I've faced was when my grandfather died from smoking cigarettes and received cancer and couldn't get a cure. I adapted to his death by praying for him to stay with god in heaven and for god to take care of him in the place he's in today. I also have a ceremony about him on his birthdays, To keep him in my mind and in my heart. This compares to the kids because some kids parents were involved in the Holocaust and were not able to see them and be with them anymore is really say and that's how I felt when my grandfather died when I was 3 years old.
